1. Who I am

Hi, I'm Frizzie. This website (www.djfrizzie.com) is run by my company, Angel Rock Entertainment Ltd (company number 15015343, registered in England and Wales), trading as DJ Frizzie, a DJ based in London, United Kingdom. In this policy, "I", "me" and "my" mean Angel Rock Entertainment Ltd trading as DJ Frizzie.

My company is the controller of the personal data described here, which means I decide how and why it is used.

If you have any question about your data, email me at deejayfrizzie@gmail.com.

A small team helps me with enquiries, bookings and my website. They only use your details to help me in the ways described below.

2. What I collect and why

a) Booking enquiries (contact form, email, phone and WhatsApp)

What: your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), event date, event type, venue details, timings, guest numbers and age range, budget, sound and lighting needs, music preferences, how you found me, and anything you write in your message.

Why: to reply to you, check my availability, prepare a quote and, if you book, plan and play your event.

Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract if you book. Where you haven't asked for a quote, my legitimate interest in replying to people who contact me.

b) My free guide ("The Packed Dance Floor Plan")

What: your first name, email address, event type, event date (optional) and whether you ticked the box to hear from me.

Why: to give you the guide (it downloads straight away on the next page) and to keep a record of your sign up.

Lawful basis: my legitimate interest in giving you the guide you asked for and keeping a record of it.

Emails after you sign up: I only email you about your event, or send occasional music news, if you ticked the box. Lawful basis: your consent. You still get the guide if you don't tick it.

c) My newsletter and music news

What: your email address, name (if given), when and where you signed up, and basic information on whether my emails are opened or clicked.

Why: to send you new mixes, show dates and news.

Lawful basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email, or by emailing me.

d) Bookings, payments and purchases

What: the details needed for your booking or purchase, such as billing name and address, the event details, invoices and payment records. I never see or store your full card details; card payments are handled by my payment providers.

Why: to deliver your booking or order, take payment, and keep my accounts.

Lawful basis: performing my contract with you, and my legal obligation to keep financial records.

e) Checking email addresses

From time to time I check that the email addresses on my lists are valid, so I don't send to dead addresses. I use an email verification service to do this, which checks the address only. Lawful basis: my legitimate interest in keeping my records accurate.

f) Website visits, cookies and analytics

See section 5.

I never sell your personal data, and I don't use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

3. Who I share it with

I only share your data with service providers who help me run my business. They act as my processors and may only use it on my instructions:

  • Wix.com Ltd: hosts this website and runs my forms, contact list, newsletter, bookings, online store and invoices. See wix.com/about/privacy.

  • Google (Gmail and Google Calendar): I reply to enquiries and manage bookings by email from deejayfrizzie@gmail.com and keep event dates in Google Calendar. See policies.google.com/privacy.

  • WhatsApp (Meta): only if you choose to message me on WhatsApp.

  • Payment providers: Wix (for card payments through my website and invoices), PayPal, Stripe, and my bank for bank transfers.

  • Email verification service: as in section 2(e).

  • AI assistant tools: I use AI assistant tools to help organise my inbox and contact list and to draft replies. A person checks every email before it is sent.

  • Professional advisers (for example my accountant), and authorities where the law requires it.

  • Event partners: with your permission, I may share the details needed for your event with your venue or planner.

4. International transfers

Some of my providers (for example Wix and Google) store or access data outside the UK, including in Israel, the European Economic Area and the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations (such as those covering the EEA and Israel, or the UK Extension to the EU US Data Privacy Framework) or by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. Just ask me if you'd like more detail.

5. Cookies and analytics

My website is built on Wix, which uses cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential cookies make the site work (for example security, forms and the shopping basket). They don't need your consent.

  • Analytics: I use Wix's built in analytics to understand which pages people visit and which links (for example from Instagram) brought them here. I don't use Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel or the TikTok pixel on this site.

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. See Wix's cookie policy at wix.com/about/cookie-policy.

I may add tracking tags to my links (UTM tags, for example "utm_source=instagram") so I can see which posts bring visitors and enquiries. These tags record the link you clicked, not who you are.

6. How long I keep it

  • Enquiries that don't become bookings: up to 2 years after we last spoke, then deleted.

  • Bookings, invoices and payment records: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to (the legal minimum for company records), then deleted.

  • Guide sign ups without consent: up to 12 months, then deleted.

  • Newsletter and guide sign ups with consent: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, or after 2 years with no opens or clicks. After that, I keep your email on a suppression list only, so I don't email you again.

  • Website analytics: in line with Wix's standard retention.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you have the right to:

  • access the personal data I hold about you;

  • have it corrected if it's wrong;

  • have it deleted;

  • restrict how I use it;

  • object to me using it, including for direct marketing (I'll always stop marketing when you ask);

  • data portability (get a copy in a usable format);

  • withdraw consent at any time, where I rely on consent. This doesn't affect anything I did before you withdrew it.

To use any of these rights, email me at deejayfrizzie@gmail.com. I'll reply within one month, and there's normally no charge.

8. Complaints

If you're unhappy with how I've used your data, please tell me first and I'll do my best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, helpline 0303 123 1113.

9. Keeping your data safe

I use secure, password protected accounts with two step verification where available, limit access to the people who need it, and only keep data for as long as I need it.

10. Children

My website and services are for adults booking events. I don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Parents or guardians booking children's parties give me the event details.

11. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date at the top.
